Richard Rossiter
Non-executive Chairman

Non-executive Chairman aged 50. Appointed August 2007. Richard Rossiter is an international resource sector specialist with experience and qualifications in financial markets (corporate advisory, equity research, broking and private equity) and industry (mine management, geological and new business development), with an emphasis on investment decision-making, deal origination, research, management and strategy. Richard started his career in 1981 as a gold mine geologist with General Mining Union Corporation (later Gengold) in South Africa. He later qualified in mine management and undertook various production management and business development roles in Gengold. Richard then moved to the financial sector as a Mining Analyst joining Fleming Martin before moving to Australia in 1997 to lead Resource Sector Research in Macquarie Bank and JP Morgan. More recently, Richard has been responsible for corporate advisory, M&A and divestments at Pacific Road Corporate Finance and Standard Bank (Australia). Richard holds Bachelor of Science (Honours) Geology from the University of Natal and MSc Mineral Exploration from Rhodes University in South Africa. Richard will lead the Board in implementing its strategy of becoming a significant platinum group metal producer.

Terence M McConnachie
Chief Executive Officer

CEO aged 49. Appointed June 2005. Terry McConnachie is well-known in the mining industry with 25 years of experience in mining, beneficiation of ferroalloys and precious metals. He was the founder of South African Chrome & Alloys Ltd, a successful chrome mining company; black empowered and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. This company was built by Terry over a 6 year period from scratch to a multimillion rand operation with assets worth well over a billion rand.($350 million) Terry is well known for identifying mining opportunities and has started many new greenfield operations in Gold ,Manganese, Aluminium, Graphite and Tantalite. Terry served as CEO of Welprop Mining Services and more recently as CEO of SA Chrome and Alloys Limited. Terry is currently the major shareholder and CEO of Alumicor Pty Ltd which is constructing a multi million rand Aluminium Dross and scrap smelting facility in South Africa.

Evan Kirby
Chief Operating Officer

COO aged 53. Appointed November 2003. Evan Kirby is a metallurgist who worked in South Africa for a total of 17 years. He then moved to Australia in 1992 and worked for Minproc Engineers and Bechtel before starting his own consulting business in 2002. He has broad experience with the development of a wide range of mining and minerals processing projects in Africa, Australia and other parts of the world.

Louis Carroll
Chief Financial Officer

CFO aged 61. Appointed August 2007. Louis Carroll has gained 40 years experience in the accounting and commercial disciplines, having been involved in various industries, - Mining, Property, Bio-manufacture, Contracting, Processing, printing and Oil. His responsibilities have included; - Company secretarial, general accounting, taxation, commer­cial matters, shipping, financing, project management and corporate structur­ing. His experience has also included Companies listed on the Johannesburg, London, Toronto, and NASDAQ Stock Exchanges having been involved in various rights offers, prospectuses, debentures, pre-listing statements, circulars to members and corporate re-structuring for a number of listed com­panies.

Alistair Ruiters
Non-executive Director

Non-executive Director aged 42. Appointed August 2007. Alistair Ruiters is one of the founders of Ehlobo Holdings Limited, Sylvania’s Black Economic Empowerment Partner in its tailings retreatment projects in South Africa. Dr Ruiters joined the Public Service in May 1994, after completing a PHD at Oxford University. He has held numerous positions in both the private and public sector, including that of Special Advisor to Trevor Manuel, South Africa’s first Competition Commissioner and Director General of the DTI. He will give guidance on project procurement, development and funding.
